Overview
The Grandstream GWN7702P is a network switch, part of Grandstream's unmanaged portfolio engineered to provide a budget-friendly and low maintenance solution to businesses looking to expand networking capacity. The switch itself includes 16 x Gigabit RJ45 ports offering a total of 32Gbps switching capacity, with each port featuring both AUTO MDI/MDIX to eliminate crossover requirements and auto-sensing capacity.
Ports 1-8 also offer 802.3 af/at compliant PoE delivery to connected devices, capable of delivering 30W per port up to a maximum budget of 138W. Ports are organised in order of priority, with port 1 taking highest priority and remaining the last to be cut off in case of overload.
Despite the switch being unmanaged, the GWN7702P does include some sophisticated switching features such as Mac address auto-learning, IEEE 802.3x Flow Control to prevent overloading and half duplex backpressure. The switch also features illuminating LEDs to indicate status and activity at a glance for each port, and is compatible with both desktop and wall mounting.
