Overview
The CI-7861-HOOK-CLIP is a replacement handset hook switch clip designed explicitly for Cisco 7800 Series IP desk phones, including the Cisco 7821, 7841, and 7861. It functions as the retaining tab (or cradle latch) that keeps the handset securely attached to the phone base. It is particularly essential when the phone is wall-mounted or placed at a steep angle to prevent the receiver from slipping off.
