Overview

The Synology RackStation RS822+ is a compact 1U 4-bay rackmount NAS designed for efficient data management, backup, and edge storage in small to medium business environments. Powered by an AMD Ryzen V1500B quad-core processor and 2GB of DDR4 ECC memory (expandable to 32GB), it provides reliable performance with sequential read speeds exceeding 2,103 MB/s. The system is highly scalable, supporting up to 8 drive bays via an expansion unit and offering a PCIe slot for optional 10/25GbE networking or M.2 NVMe SSD cache. It runs the versatile DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system, which includes license-free solutions for multi-site synchronization, surveillance, and comprehensive data protection.
