Overview
The Penton TERRA-EX2/G2 IP Audio Decoder is part of Penton’s TERRACOM audio-over-IP platform, enabling seamless distribution of live or prerecorded audio across standard IP networks. The unit receives digitized audio via Ethernet and outputs analogue audio for connection to amplifiers or legacy public address systems. Supporting SIP and multicast communication, it is ideal for paging, scheduled announcements, background music, and intercom applications. Powered through PoE or optional 24V DC, installation requires only a single network cable for both power and control. Built-in memory allows storage of messages and alerts, while web-browser configuration simplifies management and monitoring. The device integrates easily with CCTV, access control, and AV systems, making it suitable for schools, offices, retail, and transport environments.
