Overview

The Eve Door & Window contact sensor is a smart home wireless sensor that integrates with Apple HomeKit. It automatically triggers accessories and scenes and sends app notifications. The sensor can be painted to match your window and door frames, but aggressive colors should be avoided. It does not require specific positioning as it operates based on proximity. It is recommended to use an Apple TV 4/4K or HomePod/mini as a home hub, and it should be noted that the sensor is for indoor use only and is not water-resistant. The device can be powered by Thread after a power cycle. Notifications can be received without a hub but within Bluetooth range. After updating to Matter, it can be connected to a Google Nest hub. The sensor only integrates with Eve Thermo, not other thermostats. It does not have an audible alarm but can be used in automation for an alarm with the HomePod/mini.
