Overview
This DirectPatch 0.6m Cat6a U/UTP PVC patch lead is designed for ultra-short connections that require dependable 10Gb/s performance, excellent flexibility and fast optical end tracing. Its compact 6.0mm diameter allows tight bends and neat routing within patch panels, top-of-rack switches and equipment shelves where space is limited and excess cable length can obstruct airflow or cable management. The unshielded twisted pair construction provides balanced electrical performance without the additional stiffness of screened alternatives, making it ideal for short cabinet links. Stranded 26AWG bare copper conductors offer durability during frequent insertion and repositioning, while the foam skin PE insulation helps maintain stable impedance throughout the Cat6a frequency range. Two integrated plastic optical fibres extend through the full cable length and terminate as visible fibre tips positioned directly behind the RJ45 plug. When illuminated with a PatchLight or PRO-PatchLight, these tips produce a bright point of light that enables rapid identification during tracing, maintenance or quick verification in low-light rack environments.
