Overview

The Synology DiskStation DS223j is an entry-level 2-bay NAS designed for home users and small teams seeking a secure private cloud for data storage and sharing. Powered by a Realtek RTD1619B quad-core 1.7 GHz processor and 1GB of DDR4 RAM, it offers energy-efficient operation with a low power consumption of approximately 16.31W during access. This model is the first in the J-series to support the Btrfs file system, enabling advanced data protection features like file self-healing and Snapshot Replication. It runs on the intuitive DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system, which provides access to a wide range of apps for photo management, automated backups, and professional video surveillance for up to 12 IP cameras.
