Overview

The StarTech TR-M2-REMOVABLE-PCIE is a hot-swappable drive tray for M.2 NVMe SSDs, designed to fit into StarTech's M.2 PCIe expansion backplanes (like the M2-REMOVABLE-PCIE-N1), allowing you to add or swap M.2 NVMe drives (2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 sizes) with tool-free installation, LED indicators, thermal pads for cooling, security locks, and anti-vibration features for reliable, high-speed data management.

  • Additional Drive Tray: Compatible with M2-REMOVABLE-PCIE-N1 or 2M2-REMOVABLE-PCIE; supports 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 M-Key NVMe SSDs; up to 64 Gbps read/write speeds.
  • Toolless Installation: No tools required; features Power/Activity LED, latching mechanism, and lockable tray (includes 2 keys).
  • Premium Build: Aluminum cover with thermal pads for heat dissipation; anti-vibration springs; optional mounting screw for extra stability.
  • Compatibility: OS independent (Windows, Windows Server, Linux); requires base product M2-REMOVABLE-PCIE-N1 or 2M2-REMOVABLE-PCIE; not compatible with M.2 SATA drives.
